From the Shire to Lyndelby

The Tale of From The Shire To LyndelbyNot all Hobbits are content to remain where they were born. For generations, stories drifted westward along trader's paths and wandering roads. Tales were told in the inns of the Shire of a hidden Hobbit settlement beyond the Misty Mountains, where a forgotten people lived beside rushing waters and ancient hills. Most dismissed such stories as fancy, no more believable than dragons nesting beneath Michel Delving.Yet some listened.A handful of curious Hobbits—adventurers, wanderers, traders, and dreamers—found themselves drawn by these tales. Leaving behind the familiar comforts of home, they crossed lands few Hobbits dared to tread, journeying through wild country, over mountain passes, and along the courses of mighty rivers. What they discovered was Lyndelby. There, beneath the watchful peaks and beside the waters of the Langflood, they found not strangers but kin. Though separated by centuries and distance, the River Hobbits shared the same love of laughter, friendship, fine food, and peaceful living that defined Hobbit-kind everywhere. The meeting sparked something special.Friendships were forged around campfires and feast tables. Stories were exchanged, traditions shared, and before long a fellowship emerged—one dedicated to strengthening the bonds between Hobbit folk of East and West. That fellowship became From The Shire To Lyndelby. What began as a small gathering of travellers soon grew into a thriving kinship. Its members became known not for great deeds of war, but for their hospitality, companionship, and willingness to lend a helping hand wherever the road carried them. New friendships were formed, adventures undertaken, and countless tales gathered along the way.Today, the kinship stands as a living bridge between two Hobbit worlds. Its banner is welcomed in the inns of the Shire and recognised among the hidden homes of Lyndelby. Members gather not only to seek adventure but to celebrate the things Hobbits cherish most—good company, shared stories, hearty meals, and the joy of travelling a road together. For while mountains may divide lands and rivers may separate peoples, friendship has a way of crossing every distance. And so the story continues. With every new member who joins the fellowship, another chapter is added to a tale that began with a simple question:
"What lies beyond the next hill?"
